Highmark Medicare Services has established a provider education program to give those who provide service to beneficiaries the information they need to understand Medicare. This program is directed at educating providers and their staffs about fundamental Medicare programs and policies, new Medicare initiatives, and significant changes to the Medicare program. This effort extends to educating healthcare providers on coverage and coding principles to ensure correctly billed claims. By using various media including Internet, satellite networks, face-to-face instruction, and presentations in classrooms Highmark Medicare Services hopes to meet the needs of Medicare providers for timely, accurate, and understandable Medicare information.
