When you have successfully logged on, you will see a ReadMe.html file and a folder, PSR. Click on either the folder or the folder title to see the contents of the folder. On the next screen you should see up to 4 files. If you have only been billing Medicare for a short time you may see less than 4 files. If you are picking up for just one facility: Each file is in PDF format and named according to the version of the PS&R report. The four versions being distributed are Standard, Current Year, Last Year, Two Years Ago. The corresponding file names are standard.pdf, current.pdf, lastyear.pdf and twoago.pdf. Your screen should look something like this:
You can view each report simply by clicking on the report name. After clicking, the report should open in the PDF viewer installed on your PC. From there, you can use the menus and icons to print or save the report. If you do not have a PDF viewer or you get an error when you click on the file , you can acquire a free pdf viewer from http://www.adobe.com. If you have HHA reports, you will see an HHA folder among your list of files. Click on that folder and then view each report in that folder according to the instructions above. If you are picking up for more than one facility: Each file is a self-extracting zip file containing a PDF file for each facility that has a report. After clicking on a file, you should see a box that contains several buttons. One of the buttons will say either ‘Run’ or ‘Open’. Click on the button that says ‘Run’ or ‘Open’ to start the un-zipping process. At this point you may get a security warning asking to verify that you do indeed want to run the process. Once again, choose affirmatively. Next you will see a box that looks like this:
Click ‘Continue’ to see the next box:
Now type in the local folder (or click ‘…’ to choose a folder) where you want to save the indivdual PDF files and click ‘Ok’. Once the files are saved on your PC you can double-click each provider-number-named PDF file to view its contents. From there, you can use the menus and icons to view and print the report.
