The Office of Inspector General's (OIG) List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE) provides information to health care providers, patients, and others regarding individuals and entities that are excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid, and other Federal health care programs. This list of sanctioned providers should be reviewed to ensure that Medicare payments are not made to these excluded practitioners, providers, or suppliers. The OIG web site includes a method for searching online, an option to download the list and information about the list. The search online option includes the ability to search by name, general classification, specialty, city, state, zip code or sanction type for any excluded individuals and entities.
